COMPANY HISTORY
Minds Eye Films was established as a film production company, based in London, England. The creative and management team behind Minds Eye Films are Johnny Kevorkian and Neil Murphy. The company has taken careful steps from the outset to make it commercially viable. With this intention Minds Eye Films began to prove its credibility by producing two short films, The Wake (gangster thriller) and Seizures (sci-fi). Having garnered praise and publicity on the festival circuit the films have now been acquired by a major US internet film distribution company, Shorts International.com.
Fractured is a short Hitchcockian Thriller which has just been fully funded by the European Union and is currently in Post-Prduction.
The next step for Minds Eye Films has been to develop a diverse slate of feature films that includes Horrors, Sci-Fi and Thrillers. Currently in late development are FUEL, SLEEP THIEF and THE CALLING.
Johnny Kevorkian (
Director - Writer - Producer )
Johnny Kevorkian graduated in Film at the University of Westminster, London. After working on numerous short films and features, including 2nd Unit Directing on 24 HOURS IN LONDON, Johnny then went on to set up Minds Eye Films with Neil Murphy.
Through Minds Eye Films he has directed music videos and short films.
In order to move into directing and producing features Johnny made two short films as a showcase of his talent. The first film, THE WAKE, a London set gangster thriller which was funded by The Foundation of Sports and Arts. THE WAKE was very successful and was screened at The Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, The Greek Film Festival and The Leeds International Film Festival. Johnny went on to make his second short film, SEIZURES, a science fiction, horror. SEIZURES was an extremely ambitious project and was made possible due to a vast amount of support from the UK film industry. Once completed the film premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival and was screened on Film Four. Both films have been acquired the biggest internet based film distribution company, ‘Shorts International.com'. Shorts International are also screening the films on numerous T.V. and cable channels around the world.
Just announced is FRACTURED, an elaborate Hitchcockian Thriller. Fractured is fully funded by the European Union and is currently in post-production. Following on from FRACTURED, Johnny will move onto directing SLEEP THIEF, THE CALLING and FUEL.

Neil Murphy (
Producer-Writer )
Neil Murphy graduated with a Masters from University College Dublin, and received a scholarship to study scriptwriting with New York University Film School.
Since then he has production managed numerous British independent features from ‘24 Hours in London’ (’98) and Lava (’99) to ‘Spirit Trap’ (‘04), all of which have received theatrical releases.
Neil has also worked on several commercials for Ridley Scott Associates Films.
Neil set up Minds Eye Films with Johnny Kevorkian and produced two short films, ‘The Wake’ and ‘Seizures’. Both shorts have been critically acclaimed on the festival circuit and picked up for distribution by ‘Hypnotic’, one of the the biggest internet based film distribution companies. They have been screened on TV and cable channels around the world, including Film Four.
Neil has developed a diverse range of genre-driven features, attaching sales agents and co-productions with key industry figures.
